Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
On December 8, 2007, the Fulton Avenue Association held its 1st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Tognotti's parking lot - 2509 Fulton Avenue.
The event was well attended by area residents and was co-sponsored by Golden 1 Credit Union and KNCI radio station, who supplied complimentary coffee, hot chocolate and cookies. Attendees were asked to bring one unwrapped toy to help with the Sheriff's annual Toy Project for needy families.
Supervisor Susan Peters acted attended the ceremony and lit the 60 foot Christmas tree.
The Association will be working with area businesses and elementary schools to enhance the 2008 event which will be held (date to be determined), 2008 at the same location.
